When you’re using accessibility features on your device, you can really customise every aspect of your phone to make it personal to you. But when you use someone else’s device or perhaps you’re borrowing a different phone or iPad, it can be harder to use because your settings simply aren’t there.

Rather than going through one by one and changing them, there’s now a brand new option in iOS 26 to share your accessibility preferences via AirDrop.

All we need to do is go into the Settings app, tap Accessibility, and at the very bottom you’ll see a new option: Share Accessibility Settings. From here, you can either synchronise via iCloud, so all your personal devices match, or you can share them via AirDrop if you’re borrowing a device.

So, I’m going to AirDrop my settings from the iPad onto this iPhone. And just like that, an AirDrop request comes in. Tap Accept, and those accessibility choices are instantly applied. You’ll see font size, contrast, and all other settings change automatically — no configuration needed.

You can use these settings for as long as you like. And when you’re finished, simply long-press the notification at the top in the Dynamic Island and choose to stop sharing. The phone will go back to how it was before, while the iPad carries on unchanged.

I think this is an absolutely brilliant feature — and if you use accessibility settings, I’m sure you’ll find it really useful, whether you’re syncing via iCloud or sharing with AirDrop.
