Description

In this video, I’ll show you how to add new pages, organise your controls, and remove pages when they’re no longer needed. With the option to create and customise pages for different functions like Music or Home, iOS 18 makes navigating your Control Center easier than ever.

Transcript

Your iPhone’s Control Center has a lot of updates in iOS 18. Not only can you add and remove different controls and tools, and rearrange them, but you now also have the option to have multiple pages of controls, which means you can organize and quickly navigate the things you want in your Control Center. Of course, we aren’t limited to just the three tabs we have already—you can actually create and remove pages whenever you want to.

I can tap and hold on any empty space to go into Editing mode. From here, you can see I can add controls at the bottom, and on the right-hand side, you’ll see those three pages are there by default. But now that we’re in Editing mode, there’s actually a fourth circle icon at the bottom. Tapping on here will take me to a brand-new and empty page, and I can add controls to this just like normal.

So let’s go ahead and quickly add a random control here—maybe Voice Memos—and you’ll see I’ve suddenly got a fifth page on the right-hand side, available to me. Every time you fill up a page or add something to a page, it will create a blank page for you in case you want to expand and spread out across more options.

If we go on this second new page, I’m going to add a couple of controls linked to the Home app to this one. When I put a couple of these widgets onto the page, you may notice the icon for this particular page on the right-hand side has now changed to the Home icon. That’s because Control Center will try and intelligently pick an icon for you based on the contents of your Control Center page. So I’ve got the Music one, I’ve got Connectivity, and now I’ve got the Home one as well, which makes it quick to find what I’m looking for.

But of course, we can delete these pages if we don’t want them. In fact, all you have to do to remove a page is simply delete any widgets on it. When you exit Editing mode, if the page is empty, it will automatically be deleted for you. And don’t forget, the controls you’ve got on the original three pages aren’t set in stone—you can move them, spread them out, and delete them as well if you want to.

Now that iOS 18’s been released, there are so many more things that your phone can do that it simply couldn’t do before. I spent my summer playing with iOS 18, and I’ve made a ton of QuickTip videos on my channel down below. But excitingly, I’ve also written my first eBook! I’ve called it 100 QuickTips for iOS 18, and if you follow the link below, I promise you’ll find things that you never knew your phone could do now that you’ve updated to iOS 18. I’ll see you next time!
