Description

Learn how to use iOS 26’s new Adaptive Power mode to help your iPhone battery last longer, even on busy days. I’ll show you where to find it and how it works!

Transcript

One of the new features in iOS 26 is a smarter battery mode called Adaptive Power, which is designed to help your iPhone battery last longer — especially when you’re doing heavy-duty tasks or things you don’t normally do on your phone.

To get started, we’re going to jump into the Settings app and then go to Battery. From here, scroll down to the bottom and tap on Power Mode.

At the top of the screen, you’ll see a new toggle called Adaptive Power. Apple describes this underneath, but the idea is that when your phone is using more battery than normal, it will slow down background tasks, perhaps reduce the screen brightness, and make other adjustments to help your battery last as long as it normally would on an average day.

That means you shouldn’t get caught short, even on a busy day or when you’re out and about.

The other nice feature here is that it will automatically turn on Low Power Mode when the battery drops to 20% or below — again helping it last that little bit longer.

I’ve had this setting turned on since using the public beta, and it’s hard to tell yet what difference it makes. Beta software usually uses more battery anyway due to background tasks, but I’m hoping when the final release comes out, it’ll prove to be quite a useful tool to have on your phone.

And that’s it. I’ll see you next time for another QuickTip!
