Wondering how long your iPhone will take to fully charge? With iOS 26, you now get detailed charging time estimates, straight from the Lock Screen and inside the Battery settings. I’ll show you how to view the time remaining to both 80% and 100%, and explain why this is such a helpful feature.

Hi, it’s Jacob here, and in this Quick Tip, I’m going to give you a really quick way of learning how long your iPhone’s got until it’s charged and ready to go.
So, with iOS 26, when you put your phone on the MagSafe charger or plug in a cable, you’re going to see at the top there the time left to charge. So for me, I’ve got 11 minutes until I reach 80%.
But I know what you’re thinking — how long until the battery is completely full?
Well, don’t worry. If we unlock the phone and go into the Settings app and then go onto Battery, at the top there you’re going to see two different times: the amount of time it takes to get to 80%, and the amount of time it gets to 100%.
Because of the way phone batteries work, they generally charge a lot quicker to 80% than they do for the full 100%. So actually, it’s quite useful having that indicator there — because generally at 80% you’ve got enough battery to last you for most of the day.
