Description

Your Instagram grid is the first thing anyone sees when they land on your profile, and now you finally get to decide what sits at the top. In this guide I’ll show you Instagram’s new Reorder Grid feature, so you can bring a brilliant old post back to the front, build the aesthetic layout you’ve always wanted, or quietly move things down the page, all while your posts keep their original dates, likes and comments.

Transcript

One of the new updates to Instagram will let you reorder posts that you’ve already posted within the carousel. Up until now, you couldn’t shuffle the order around, but now you can.

All you need to do is jump onto the post that you want to change, and then press the three dots at the top of that post. From here, tap onto Edit.

At this point, you can drag and drop to rearrange any of those frames, any of those images or videos, into whichever order you want on the screen.

This will then retrospectively change that post that you made before. It’s not making a brand new post, it’s not notifying your friends and followers, but it is going to clean up that grid for you.

When you’re finished, just press Done like normal, and that will update on your Instagram feed.

And if you enjoyed this QuickTip, I think you’re going to find this one good, too.
