Description

Ever been tagged in a great photo by a friend and wished it could sit on your own Instagram profile? Now it can, thanks to Instagram’s new Add to grid feature, which works on any post you’ve been tagged in. I’ll show you the quickest ways to add a tagged post to your grid, how to move it around or remove it without deleting it, and who can actually see it.

Transcript

So, Instagram have just released a new feature that I’ve been wanting for ages: the ability to add tagged posts onto your main grid. So, if your friend posts a picture of you, you can add it to your main grid if you want to. And it’s really easy to do. It’s going to be a super quick tip.

And before we get started, if you’re new around here, then hi, my name is Jacob. I’m your friendly Apple expert here on YouTube to help you make the most of your devices with tips just like this. So, if you want more, hit that subscribe button.

Okay, in the Instagram app, I’m going to my profile page, and then we’ll tap on here to see all of the things that we’ve been tagged in. These are not on my feed. These are things other people have posted and tagged me in.

Well, now you can long-press on one of those posts, and as long as the other person’s page is public, you can tap here and it will say Add to Grid. They’re going to get a notification that you’ve done this, so it’s not a secret thing. And then, on your profile grid, when anyone comes to your profile in the future, they’re going to see that post there along with all the others.

I told you it’d be quick. Before you go and do that, check out this QuickTip.
