There’s a new feature in Apple Music on iOS 26 that I’ve been waiting for for years – the ability to finally pin and save your favourite music.

If I go onto my Library tab at the bottom, at the top of the Library view you’re going to see a playlist for WWDC and an album from Radiohead that I like listening to often. I’ve pinned these, which means they’re always there, accessible at the top of my Music app. And you can pin any other album or playlist you like.

To do this, simply jump onto an album, press the three dots in the top corner, and then press Pin. Or even quicker – just long press on any piece of artwork in Apple Music, whether that’s a playlist, an album, or a song. And then when you’ve long pressed on it, you can simply press Pin on that menu there.

You can put things at the top here, and you can remove them by doing the exact opposite process – long pressing and then Unpin.

But what’s also really cool is if you jump back to your Home Screen, long press, press Edit, and then Add Widgets, you can search for the Music widget. If you swipe all the way through them, you’ll see a brand new widget for your pinned music as well.

It’s never been quicker to access your favourite music right from your phone’s Home Screen. And pinning your favourite albums and playlists is just one of so many new things in iOS 26 that makes your device that much more personal, that much more customisable, and that much better than it was before.
