Description

Fed up with websites covered in adverts, pop-ups and banners? Your iPhone has a hidden Safari feature called Reduce Distractions that can remove unwanted elements from web pages in just a few taps. In this quick guide I’ll show you how to use it to clean up cluttered websites and enjoy a much calmer, better reading experience on your iPhone.

Transcript

How many times have you gone to look at a website only to have most of it covered by adverts or pop-ups? Well, let me show you a quick tool which can help remove these from any website. It’s called Reduce Distractions, and it does exactly what it promises.

So, when you’re on the website in question, tap onto Webpage Options, which is the little button in the address bar here. Then select Hide Distracting Items.

You can then simply tap onto anything you want to remove and, just like that, it’ll disappear immediately. Banners, adverts, pop-ups, photographs – it’s gone.

When you’re done, you can save your edits by pressing the tick in the address bar. And then you can go back to browsing the web page in peace.

And if you learned something here, please do subscribe and then check out this QuickTip.
