Description
Making a shared photo album usually means lots of scrolling and tapping, but with Siri AI in iOS 27 you can do the whole thing just by asking. Siri searches your photos, works out who to send it to from your contacts, and gets the album ready to share in Messages. I’ll show you how it works, plus how to follow up by adding more photos or renaming the album, all with your voice.

I’m still getting used to all the new features of Siri AI on iOS 27. And to be honest, it’s hard to even recognise it when you think about the old Siri. We can do some really complex and useful tasks on here that make using your phone quicker and more delightful than ever, such as creating shared photo albums using just our voice.
Before I show you how that works, if you’re new around here, then hi, my name is Jacob. I’m your friendly Apple expert here on YouTube to help you make the most of your devices.
So, we’ve been to Oslo recently, my wife and I, and I’d like to create a shared album of my photos. In the past, I would have had to go into my albums, search for a location, select the photos, put them into a shared album, send it to my wife – all of those steps to get the process done. It’s not impossible, I’m just being a bit lazy, but it does take a little bit of time. Well, now with Siri AI, our phone can do the hard work for us.
So all I’m going to do is, on my home screen, start talking to Siri, and I’m going to say, “Siri, create an album of all of our photos from Oslo, and then create that shared album and send it to my wife through Messages.”
And then Siri is going to take a moment or two to think about what you asked it to do here. It’s going to search my photos, and my contacts to work out who my wife is – I’ve not used her name. And then it’s going to start creating that album for me. And we’ll see it in the message at the top, just like this. If I’m happy, I can then tap on Send, and it will send that collaborative link to her, so she gets all those photos on her phone.
I can then add follow-up requests. Perhaps I want to add the photos from Stavanger as well. Well, I can ask Siri to do that and add them to that same album. And perhaps we’ll rename the album to “Norway” at this stage.
Just like that, Siri AI has made your phone so much more useful, and we can talk to it like we’re talking to an actual person, or an actual personal assistant. If you want to see what else Siri AI can do, please do check out these QuickTips next.
