BETT Connect ’26 with Dustin
A great day yesterday with Nick Huijtink and the Dustin team in Nijmegen 🇳🇱 at their BETT Connect event – designed to bring some of the key learnings from BETT back to teachers in the Netherlands.
I was delighted to play a part in this day, sharing two stories of student creativity on Mac and iPad, which also included giving attendees a chance to get hands on with Tinkercad on the brand new MacBook Neo.
It’s always a pleasure to share stories from my classroom and lead that conversation about giving students not just the ideas and skills they need for the future – but also the confidence to help them reach all of their goals.
Apple Intelligence for Danish Teachers Briefing
It was lovely to start my Friday off with some virtual training on behalf of COMM2IG in Denmark where we explored how Apple Intelligence can help reduce workload and empower teachers in a privacy focussed way.
During the workshop I modelled a typical school day to the teachers and leaders on the call, whilst drawing attention to the moments where Apple Intelligence can help save us teachers time – freeing us up to spend more time working directly with students.

Creativity on iPad at BETT 2026
It’s been a weekend of calm and quiet to reflect on an incredibly busy week at Bett Global. My highlight, without a doubt, was being given the opportunity by Apple to share some inspiring stories of learning from my students during my Creativity on iPad workshops.
In these 45 minute sessions I shared three stories of impact and went behind the scenes on how iPad made them all possible. We started by exploring how to build some incredible 3D models in Tinkercad Education which students can then view and explore in Augmented Reality. Next up we played with some fun and unusual Green Screen projects – with the added bonus of not having to waste half a lesson setting up equipment! I finished the workshop with a story of impact unlike any other – how one incredible Freeform board resulted in a group of my students going to America to compete against students from all around the world. A true story of technology enabling the very best types of learning: creative, student-driven and empowering.
It was a honour to be able to share these stories with attendees, but I realise there were people who sadly didn’t make it through the waitlist due to the sessions being very popular! I’ve put together a blog post with all of the details of these three activities, as well as some video resources to help you jump straight in with these in your classrooms. I’ll link it in the comments below.

Keynote at the EmpowerEd Conference
Sunday was an incredibly special day for me as I was given the opportunity to deliver my first keynote talk ‘Learning Without Limits’ to the EmpowerEd Conference at Stellar World School in Mumbai.
Despite being a little bit nervous (and deleting and restarting my slide deck five times in the quest to present the perfect story), I absolutely loved every second of being on stage and felt to grateful to be able to share some stories from my classroom with teachers and leaders from across India.
Over the morning I shared a variety of different stories, each made possible by iPad and Skriva. From a digital art project which help children learn about the cultures and traditions of Africa to a CAD topic where students build their own ideas into reality. Of course we finished on the inspiring story of the JellyFriends and their determination, courage and hard work which led them all the way from Cornwall to America.
The thread that tied these stories together was simple: when we bring powerful tools like iPad and Skriva into rich, real-world learning, children gain a deeper understanding of their subjects – and ultimately of themselves.
As I said in the talk I truly believe that learning without limits means stepping back enough for children to step forward.

Apple Intelligence and iPadOS 26 Workshop
Yesterday I had the privilege of sharing a selection of iPad and Mac QuickTips with some of the team from Atea Denmark at their offices in Ballerup.
We explored what’s new in iPadOS 26 and how the device is now more powerful than ever with its Multi Window mode, as well as some of the new power user features in macOS Tahoe like the new Spotlight Search and the new Control Center customisations.
We then took a dive into the world of Apple Intelligence which (as of Monday) is now available in Denmark in the iPadOS 26.1 beta. This was an opportunity to explore some of the standalone tools like Photo Cleanup and Writing tools as well as some of the newer integrations like auto categorisation in Reminders.
Finally we wrapped up the morning looking at a wide range of accessibility features which can benefit all users across their devices, with lots of ideas being taken forward to share with users across the country.
A huge thank you to Rasmus Toft for the invitation to Denmark, the generous hospitality, and for being such an excellent tour guide in Copenhagen. It’s been my first (but definitely not last) time visiting this beautiful country.
iPadOS 26 and Creating QuickTips Workshop
Well yesterday was very, very special. I was thrilled to be invited to give a presentation to ADEs and APLS from across 🇫🇮 Finland at the most stunning location on the 🇦🇽 Åland Islands.
The two hour workshop covered several topics. I started with brief story about how I became an ADE and the impact it had on me both personally and professionally.
Next we took a whistlestop tour into iPadOS 26 where I shared ten of my favourite new features, from the improved Personal Voice to the new Multitasking Mode and beyond. A real crowd-pleased was the automatic reminders sorting in the Reminders app – turning a list of 20 to-do’s into a neatly organised and much more manageable categorised list. I also shared a free copy of my new 100 QuickTips for iOS26 ebook with the 16 attendees as a way of saying thank you for inviting me to Finland.
Our final hour was undoubtably my favourite part of the session – introducing the Final Cut Pro app for iPad and sharing how to make QuickTip videos. After an introduction to the app and sharing a starting template, everyone went off in groups to decide a topic, capture their screen recording, record their own Memoji (giving narration in Finnish) and then editing it all together in Final Cut.
Getting to see everyone’s results at the end was so special. The teachers became the students for the morning and seeing the creative and fun ways they took the project and made it their own was awesome.
I’m so grateful to Joonas Väisänen from Atea Finland for this opportunity, and to all of the incredible teachers and leaders from Finland who I’ve spent the past two days with.
