Description
Want to share your holiday snaps without everyone watching you swipe through every single photo? In iOS 27, the Photos app on iPhone lets you turn any selection of photos and videos into a custom slideshow in just a few taps. I’ll show you how to pick your favourite shots, start the slideshow and mirror it to your Apple TV, so everyone gets a smooth show of your best moments.

One of my favourite new features in iOS 27 is the ability to use any photos or videos and create a custom slideshow on your phone to share with friends or family. In the past, you could create photo Memories using existing sets of pictures. But now, you can simply select a few that you want and play a slideshow straight on your phone, tablet or TV. Let me show you how it works, because it’s super simple and it makes your photos come alive.
And before I do that, if you’re new around here, then hi, my name is Jacob. I’m your friendly Apple expert here on YouTube to help you make the most of your devices. So please do tap that subscribe button, then you won’t miss any quick tips in the future.
Okay. So in the Photos app, I’ve got a selection of pictures here that I took in Norway, of a cruise around some fjords, and I’d love to share them with my parents on the TV. Now, normally I’d mirror my phone to the Apple TV, and I’d be swiping through dozens of pictures, and everyone would get bored quite quickly. But what I can do now is press Select in Photos, and I can select multiple images from my screen. I might select five or six, or perhaps 20 if there are loads of nice ones. And I can also select videos as part of that mix.
Then I’m going to press the three dots at the top. That’s the options button. And there’s a new button there underneath that says Start Slideshow. At this point, your photos and videos will start playing automatically. And when you mirror that to your TV, you’re going to get a really lovely slideshow of your memories, rather than going through every single photo you took on a trip. It’s that simple, but it really makes your photos come alive.
Before you go and do that though, make sure you check out this quick tip next.
