Hi, it’s Jacob here, and in this iPhone Quick Tip, I’m going to show you a game-changing way of adding information to your calendar in just a couple of taps.

So, here I am browsing some flights on British Airways and I’ve got my outbound flight to America here. All I’m going to do is take a screenshot of my iPhone screen, and then at the bottom, after about half a second, you’ll notice this new Add to Calendar option.

If your iPhone can detect a date and the time — even a location — it can create an event for you. When you tap onto here, you can see all of the details that the iPhone has found. So, for me, it’s found the event itself, a flight to Orlando, and it’s found the takeoff and landing times.

Of course, I can press Edit if I wanted to change the event at all — perhaps add it to a different calendar or set some alerts — but I don’t want to do that. I’m simply going to press Add Event. And just like that, it’s now in my calendar.

It’s really super quick to use, and you haven’t got to wait for an email anymore with that “Add to Calendar” button, which never quite gets all the details correct.

You can even use Visual Intelligence — if you found an event poster, perhaps for a concert or something in your city — you can use Visual Intelligence, get a photo of it, and add it straight to your calendar that way as well.
