Hi, it’s Jacob here, and in this iPhone Quick Tip, I’m going to show you a new way of tinting the icons on your Home Screen using a colour from your wallpaper — and having it work in both Light and Dark Mode.

So, all we’re going to do is long press on my Home Screen, and we’re going to press Edit in the top-left corner and then Customise.

From here, you’ve got the same Colour Tint button that you had in iOS 18 last year, but the difference now is it works in Light Mode and Dark Mode. Obviously, we can use those sliders there to choose the colour we like, but we can also use the eyedropper tool just here. And then we can drag over the wallpaper to find the exact colour we’ve got in our image — which will give you a really aesthetic look.

Then at the bottom, we can choose Light Tinting, Dark Tinting, or Auto Tinting. And we had Dark before, but Light is brand new in iOS 26.

And of course, as you’d expect, this works with small icons and the large icons, and you can toggle between them using that button at the top there.

And that’s it! When you close that panel, your iPhone is going to look completely different with your icons tinted in the colour you’ve chosen.
