The iPhone 14 Pro comes with a beautiful Always On Screen. Whilst this is fantastic for lots of reasons, there are also plenty of times when you’d rather not have your iPhone Screen lit up the whole time. In this short and easy-to-follow tutorial I’ll show you how to toggle the Always On Display on and off whenever you like.

The Always On Display on the new iPhone 14 Pro is definitely a cool feature, but it’s dividing opinion quite a lot online.

Some people think it’s too bright, and for me I’m still thinking at the moment that my phone’s got a notification because I keep glancing at the screen because it’s on.

It might take some getting used to, but in the meantime here’s how you can turn on and off the Always On Display.

All we’re going to do is jump into the Settings app and from here we’re going to scroll down to Display and Brightness.

From here on this screen is a toggle to turn on or off the Always On Display.

If I turn it off I can lock my phone like it used to before, and the screen will go completely black.

If I turn it back on, then when I lock my phone I get that dimmed, Always On Display instead.

A really simple #QuickTip, one I hope you’ll find useful.
