With macOS Ventura you can enable alerts for extreme weather conditions at chosen locations. These alerts can be set for minor events like incoming rain or major events like hurricanes and storms. This quick and easy-to-follow tutorial video will help you get set up quickly.

Enabling severe weather alerts on your Mac is really simple. Simply open the Weather app and then press on the top toolbar. From here, go on to Settings, and then you can choose to enable or disable alerts based on your locations. You can turn on severe weather alerts for as many places as you want to, and in areas where it’s supported, you can also get up-to-date precipitation alerts. With these settings enabled, you’ll receive a push notification on your Mac if ever there’s a weather event you need to know about.
