Transcript

AirDrop in iOS 17 has completely changed how it works. Yes, you can still do it the old-fashioned way by pressing the share button and choosing a device, but it’s now so easy to simply hold two iPhones head to head, so top to top, and it will share your file between them, almost like magic. All you need to do on the iPhone that’s sending the file, be it a photo or a video, is to have that open on your screen. So, I’ve got a picture here with my cat open on the screen, ready to go, and while I bring Sapphy’s phone up to the top, this happens.

That sound effect means the phones are connected. The file is sent across from one to the other, and now it’s visible on both iPhones, just like that. You don’t have to accept or receive a file, because it knows if your phones are touching, then probably you want that file anyway. But of course, if you take your phone away, it will cancel it before it gets sent, and that’s another new update to iOS 17. And there are dozens and dozens more. Please check out this playlist on the end screen now to see what else is new, and if you like this video, please do subscribe down below.
